Two blue Blu Atlas Summer Face Essentials containers—a cleanser and a moisturizer—sit on a bathroom counter near a sink, while towels, a round mirror, and a tropical beach view appear through the window in the background.

Summer Face Essentials

The face routine, summer-weight. The Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser and the Refreshing Lightweight Moisturizer. Wash in the morning and at night, moisturize with a gel that won't sit heavy in the heat.

Same two steps as the everyday routine, built for warm weather and oily skin. The cleanser cuts oil and sweat without stripping; the lightweight moisturizer hydrates as a gel instead of a cream, so nothing sits on your skin when it's hot. The summer version of getting it right in two products.

The cleanser is built around volcanic ash and charcoal to lift oil and grime. The moisturizer is a gel that absorbs in seconds, controls shine and leaves no film under sunscreen. Wash, moisturize, done - even in July.

$35.00
Ingredients:

Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser
a daily wash built around volcanic ash and activated charcoal. Removes oil and grime without stripping. 13 ingredients. (See the full ingredient list on the cleanser page.)

Refreshing Lightweight Moisturizer
a gel-textured moisturizer for oily and combination skin, or hot weather. Hydrates without weight or shine. (See the full ingredient list on the lightweight moisturizer page.)

Both fragrance-free options available. Both in recyclable cobalt glass.

How to Use

Cleanser morning and night. Lightweight moisturizer after, while skin's still slightly damp. In real heat, the gel is all the moisture most skin needs; let it absorb, then SPF over it in the daytime.

This is the warm-weather pairing. When it cools off, the original Face Essentials - same cleanser, richer moisturizer - covers you the rest of the year.

FAQ

How is this different from the regular Face Essentials?
The moisturizer. Both sets use the same Volcanic Ash Cleanser. The original pairs it with the Hydrating Moisturizer, a richer cream for everyday and cooler weather. This one pairs it with the Lightweight gel, for oily skin and hot months. Same routine, two weights.

Which set should I get?
Oily or combination skin, or you're heading into summer: this one. Normal to dry skin, or year-round simplicity: the original Face Essentials. If you run oily in summer and normal in winter, plenty of guys keep both moisturizers and swap the set with the season.

Is it really just two products?
Yes. Cleanser and moisturizer, that's the routine. No toner, no serum required. Add the Vitamin C Serum or SPF if you want them, but the two steps are the base.

Why is it $35 when the products are $20 each?
Buying the set saves you $5 over buying them separately, and it's the routine the way it's meant to be used, the wash and the moisturizer that's right for the weather.

Summer, handled.

Two products for the months your skin actually changes. The Volcanic Ash Cleanser pulls the sweat, oil, and sunscreen the day leaves behind - without the tight, stripped feeling that makes you skip moisturizer. The Lightweight Moisturizer puts the water back without the weight, so you're hydrated, not shiny. Clean, then hydrated. That's the whole summer routine. $35 for the set, $40 apart.

A person holds a blue bottle labeled Blu Atlas Volcanic Ash Gel Cleanser, an exfoliating face wash for all skin types, and applies it while standing before a grid-patterned background.

Tight and squeaky isn't clean.

Soap taught us that tight, squeaky skin means clean: bar soap, hand soap, the washes built to feel like them. It doesn't. Stanford researchers found that tightness is your skin's surface contracting after it's been stripped of the oils it needs. Not a sign the wash worked.

Our Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser uses bentonite and charcoal to bind oil and grime and lift it out, with two gentle coconut-derived surfactants. They clean without stripping the oils your skin needs. It feels clean, not tight.

Oily skin in summer still needs moisturizer.

When it's hot and your face is already shiny, moisturizer feels like the last thing you need. So you skip it - and your skin gets oilier, not less. Oil isn't hydration. When skin reads as dry underneath, it overproduces oil to compensate, and you end up greasier than when you started. Heat makes it worse, not better.

The fix isn't a heavy cream - that's what made you skip it. It's a gel that puts water back without the weight. Ours sinks in cool, hydrates with Ectoin and hyaluronic acid, and keeps oil in check with niacinamide. No grease, no shine.

What makes Blu Atlas different

Most men's brands load a single product with two or three times the list and charge you more for it. You're paying for extras that read well on a label and do nothing on your skin: the packaging, the fragrance story, the marketing.

We built Blu Atlas the other way. Every ingredient is there to do a job you can name, or it isn't in the bottle.

Healthy skin and hair doesn't need ten steps. It needs a few good products used consistently. The best one is the product you actually keep using, not the one with the longest label. Most men who find Blu Atlas have already tried the rest. And most of them stay.

The Blu Atlas Eye Stick, featuring a silver rollerball applicator, targets puffiness and dark circles. It is displayed against a two-tone black and white background.
