Lightweight Face Moisturizer

The lightweight one. A gel-textured moisturizer for oily and combination skin, or for anyone who finds a cream too heavy in summer. Goes on cool, absorbs fast, leaves no shine. For when the Hydrating Moisturizer is more than the weather calls for.

This is the warm-weather, oily-skin version of a daily moisturizer. Lighter than the Hydrating Moisturizer, built around a different job: hydration without the weight, oil-control without drying you out. Same routine, summer-weight.

Ectoin holds moisture in the skin; hyaluronic acid and glycerin draw it in. Niacinamide helps with oil and tone. Absorbs in seconds, no film under SPF.

Ingredients
  1. Water (Aqua): the solvent that carries the rest of the formula.
  2. Propanediol: a plant-derived humectant. Draws moisture into the skin and helps the actives absorb.
  3. Glycerin: draws water to the surface of the skin and holds it there.
  4. Sclerotium Gum: a plant-derived gel. Gives the formula its lightweight gel texture and carries the moisture.
  5. Ectoin: holds water in the skin and helps it tolerate heat and environmental stress. The reason this works as a warm-weather formula.
  6. Sodium Hyaluronate: draws water into the skin and holds it there, without the weight of a cream.
  7. Caffeine: tightens and refreshes the surface of the skin.
  8. Asparagopsis Armata (Red Algae) Extract: a marine extract that soothes and adds antioxidant protection.
  9. Ascophyllum Nodosum (Seaweed) Extract: a marine extract that conditions and supports the skin barrier.
  10. Chrysanthellum Indicum (Golden Chamomile) Extract: a plant extract that calms and soothes the skin.
  11. Arginine: an amino acid that supports the skin barrier.
  12. Chlorphenesin: a preservative. Helps prevent bacterial and fungal growth in the jar.
  13. Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate: binds trace metals from water and raw materials that would otherwise destabilize the formula.
  14. Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate: a plant-derived humectant that holds moisture and keeps the gel smooth.
  15. Pentylene Glycol: carries the actives and supports the preservative system.
  16. Butylene Glycol: helps the formula absorb and keeps the texture even.
  17. Caprylyl Glycol: conditions the skin and boosts the preservative system.
  18. Citric Acid: balances the pH of the formula.
  19. Phenoxyethanol: a synthetic preservative. Prevents bacterial, mold, and yeast growth in the jar.
  20. Ethylhexylglycerin: a preservative booster.
  21. Potassium Sorbate: a preservative that protects against mold and yeast.
How to Use

Smooth a small amount over your face morning and night, after cleansing. It absorbs fast. Wait a few seconds before SPF or anything else. A little covers the whole face; the gel goes further than a cream.

In hot or humid weather, use it on its own. In cooler months, the Hydrating Moisturizer may suit you better - keep both and switch with the season.

FAQs

How is this different from the Hydrating Moisturizer?
Same job, different weight. The Hydrating Moisturizer is a richer cream for normal-to-dry skin and cooler weather. This is a gel for oily or combination skin, or for anyone who finds a cream too heavy in summer. Pick by skin type and season, not by which is "better."

Which one should I use?
If your skin runs oily, or your cream feels heavy once it's warm out, use this. If your skin runs dry or tight, use the Hydrating Moisturizer. Some men keep both and switch with the seasons.

Will it actually hydrate oily skin, or just feel light?
It hydrates. Ectoin and hyaluronic acid hold water in the skin without the oils a heavier cream uses to do it - so you get the moisture without the shine.

Can I wear it under sunscreen?
Yes. It absorbs in seconds and leaves no film, so SPF goes on clean over the top with no pilling or grease.

Is it good for sensitive skin?
It's fragrance-light and built around soothing marine and chamomile extracts, so most sensitive skin does well with it. As with anything new, patch test first if you react easily.

Does it help with oil and shine through the day?
Niacinamide helps regulate oil and even out tone with regular use, and the gel finish means it won't add shine of its own. It manages oil rather than stripping it.

Oily skin in summer still needs moisturizer.

When it's hot and your face is already shiny, moisturizer feels like the last thing you need. So you skip it - and your skin gets oilier, not less. Oil isn't hydration. When skin reads as dry underneath, it overproduces oil to compensate, and you end up greasier than when you started. Heat makes it worse, not better.

The fix isn't a heavy cream - that's what made you skip it. It's a gel that puts water back without the weight. Ours sinks in cool, hydrates with Ectoin and hyaluronic acid, and keeps oil in check with niacinamide. No grease, no shine.

Hydration you can't feel.

Most "lightweight" moisturizers fake it: alcohol that flash-dries, silicones that smooth over the top. It feels light because it isn't doing much.

Ours is a gel that actually sinks in: Ectoin and hyaluronic acid pull water into the skin and hold it, niacinamide keeps oil in check. No alcohol finish, no silicone slip. It hydrates as hard as a cream, and you'd never know it was there.

What makes Blu Atlas different

Most men's brands load a single product with two or three times the list and charge you more for it. You're paying for extras that read well on a label and do nothing on your skin: the packaging, the fragrance story, the marketing.

We built Blu Atlas the other way. Every ingredient is there to do a job you can name, or it isn't in the bottle.

Healthy skin and hair doesn't need ten steps. It needs a few good products used consistently. The best one is the product you actually keep using, not the one with the longest label. Most men who find Blu Atlas have already tried the rest. And most of them stay.

Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser

Moisturizer is step two. This is step one. The Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser removes oil and grime without stripping. 13 ingredients, volcanic ash and charcoal doing the work. Good match for oily and combination skin, which is who this moisturizer is for. Wash first, then moisturize.

What Most Men Keep.
