Two blue Blu Atlas Summer Face Essentials containers—a cleanser and a moisturizer—sit on a bathroom counter near a sink, while towels, a round mirror, and a tropical beach view appear through the window in the background.

Summer Face Essentials

The face routine, summer-weight. The Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser and the Refreshing Lightweight Moisturizer. Wash in the morning and at night, moisturize with a gel that won't sit heavy in the heat.

Same two steps as the everyday routine, built for warm weather and oily skin. The cleanser cuts oil and sweat without stripping; the lightweight moisturizer hydrates as a gel instead of a cream, so nothing sits on your skin when it's hot. The summer version of getting it right in two products.

The cleanser is built around volcanic ash and charcoal to lift oil and grime. The moisturizer is a gel that absorbs in seconds, controls shine and leaves no film under sunscreen. Wash, moisturize, done - even in July.

Ingredients:

Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser
a daily wash built around volcanic ash and activated charcoal. Removes oil and grime without stripping. 13 ingredients. (See the full ingredient list on the cleanser page.)

Refreshing Lightweight Moisturizer
a gel-textured moisturizer for oily and combination skin, or hot weather. Hydrates without weight or shine. (See the full ingredient list on the moisturizer page.)

Both fragrance-free options available. Both in recyclable cobalt glass.

How to Use

Cleanser morning and night. Lightweight moisturizer after, while skin's still slightly damp. In real heat, the gel is all the moisture most skin needs; let it absorb, then SPF over it in the daytime.

This is the warm-weather pairing. When it cools off, the original Face Essentials - same cleanser, richer moisturizer - covers you the rest of the year.

FAQ

How is this different from the regular Face Essentials?
The moisturizer. Both sets use the same Volcanic Ash Cleanser. The original pairs it with the Hydrating Moisturizer, a richer cream for everyday and cooler weather. This one pairs it with the Lightweight gel, for oily skin and hot months. Same routine, two weights.

Which set should I get?
Oily or combination skin, or you're heading into summer: this one. Normal to dry skin, or year-round simplicity: the original Face Essentials. If you run oily in summer and normal in winter, plenty of guys keep both moisturizers and swap the set with the season.

Is it really just two products?
Yes. Cleanser and moisturizer, that's the routine. No toner, no serum required. Add the Vitamin C Serum or SPF if you want them, but the two steps are the base.

Why is it $35 when the products are $20 each?
Buying the set saves you $5 over buying them separately, and it's the routine the way it's meant to be used, the wash and the moisturizer that's right for the weather.

Less ingredients. The ones that matter.

Most skincare products are 80% water and filler, with a handful of active ingredients buried at the bottom of a 40-ingredient list. We don't do that. Every ingredient in the Summer Face Essentials earns its place, either it does something meaningful for your skin, or it's not in there.

Acetyl Hexapeptide-8

Also known as Argireline. A signal peptide that smooths fine lines and improves skin texture over time. Real anti-aging action without irritation — no retinol sensitivity, no photosensitivity in summer sun.

Volcanic Ash (Bentonite)

Sourced within the USA. Ultra-fine ash particles gently exfoliate without tearing skin, absorb excess oil and toxins, and contain natural trace minerals. Anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties make it ideal for summer-prone breakouts.

Lactobacillus / Radish Root Ferment

A naturally derived probiotic that acts as a clean preservative while actively supporting your skin's microbiome. Think of it as gut health for your face — balanced skin flora means less irritation, fewer breakouts, stronger barrier.

Ectoin

A natural extremophile molecule that creates a protective water shell around your skin cells. It strengthens the skin barrier, reduces inflammation, and provides long-term protection against UV and environmental stress. Not a trend ingredient, one of the most researched molecules in dermatology.

Tremella Mushroom Extract

Nature's moisture magnet. Holds up to 500x its weight in water, outperforming standard hyaluronic acid in some studies. Keeps skin plump and elastic through heat and humidity, not just in the controlled environment of a lab.

Tight and squeaky isn't clean.

Soap taught us that tight, squeaky skin means clean: bar soap, hand soap, the washes built to feel like them. It doesn't. Stanford researchers found that tightness is your skin's surface contracting after it's been stripped of the oils it needs. Not a sign the wash worked.

Our Volcanic Ash Face Cleanser uses bentonite and charcoal to bind oil and grime and lift it out, with two gentle coconut-derived surfactants. They clean without stripping the oils your skin needs. It feels clean, not tight.

Lightweight. Fast-Absorbing. Zero Shine.

This gel moisturizer sinks in instantly, leaving skin smooth—not sticky. With ingredients like Ectoin and Tremella Mushroom, it hydrates while defending against harsh weather, UV, and pollution. Ideal for oily or combo skin, or when heavy creams just aren’t it.

Mineral SPF 30

Mineral sunscreen built on 15.7% zinc oxide. Broad-spectrum UVA/UVB, water- and sweat-resistant for 80 minutes, no white cast. Clean enough to wear every day.

Sunscreen is the one product where the list runs longer - and it should. Mineral SPF needs more ingredients to keep zinc oxide stable, spreadable, and invisible on skin. Every one earns its place; none of it is padding.

Goes on sheer and absorbs without the chalky finish most mineral sunscreens leave. Zinc oxide does the protecting; shea and cocoa butter keep it from drying you out. No oxybenzone, no octinoxate.

What Most Men Keep.
